
(Senior) IC System Engineer

About the job
As a (senior) IC system engineer at Sencure, you will be responsible for defining the chip system architecture and overseeing and coordinating the design process for next generations ICs, based on the already existing SNCE800. You play an integral role in the correct implementation of the system requirements into ICs.
Your Profile
- About 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Excellent experience with Cadence CAD tools and state-of-the-art AMS design flows.
- Experience with system-level modeling in Matlab/Simulink is preferred
- Capable of giving (technical) direction to the project team.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or collaboratively within teams.
- Commitment to delivering quality and reliability to colleagues, customers, and management.
- Effective communication skills and a willingness to share knowledge.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required, fluency in Dutch is a plus
Your Responsibilities
- System Architecture: Define, model, and develop system architecture that aligns with project requirements, performance goals, and industry standards. Decompose the system architecture into subsystems and define subsystem requirements.
- Technical Leadership: Align strategic roadmap together with Management Team and provide input on timelines, dependencies, and required resources. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers & set day-to-day priorities regarding technical issues. Manage the IC development work by external contractors and suppliers.
- Collaboration: Take the technical lead in cross-functional teams, including engineers, product managers, and external developers, to ensure seamless integration of all sub-systems into the overall IC.
- Requirement Management: Take the lead in discussions with customers to extract the use scenarios and user needs. Derive system requirements from these use scenarios and user needs and ensure requirement traceability and coverage of applicable standards.
- Design and Development: Lead and participate in the design, development, and implementation of next-generation ICs.
- Verification, Validation, & Qualification: Overseeing test plans and procedures for verification, validation, & qualification to ensure that ICs are suitable for mass production.
- Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve complex design issues, utilizing analytical skills and tools to diagnose root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and challenges in the IC development process, developing mitigation plans to address them proactively.
- Quality Assurance: Implement and enforce quality control processes to ensure consistent and reliable performance.
- Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation, including architecture documentation & datasheets.
